Let's also mind the fact that on average, AMVing is at best the 5th most time-consuming hobby of mine, so even if I gave it up and spent it on one of my other hobbies or non-hobbies, in relative terms it'd be a very minor difference. It's hardly a detriment socially, too, probably the opposite if anything.

Making AMVs is only one of my hobbies, but it is one that I have made new friends through. I don't regret the time I've spent on making AMVs at this moment, though in the midst of editing I sometimes wish I could give it up. But I relish the thought that someone watching any of my AMVs may be wishing the same thing

If I could take back time that no longer exists, I would be a god. But I can't , therefore the point is moot. Your choice to make AMVs was the only choice you could've made at that time. Only after looking back do you see the illusion of choice. Choices exist in the future, not the past.
