What's an AMV anyway?

I really didn't want to do this but here is the amv that sparked my urge to voice my distasteful opinion

It actually caused me physical pain in the form of a head ache about a minute into it and I can't get any further then that

LOL @ Hypnostro. That was an IC video... he had to edit it in like... 11 hours I believe. He basically took his previous amvs and randomly threw them on the timeline after the song remix. It's funny, but still that's not what I was thinking you were referring to with flashy and fast. I thought something like Attack Of The Otaku or maybe Denno Senshi Porygon. Stuff like that, yeah.

But anyway, I like amv both with or without flashy effects. Having them doesn't mean that they're good nor amvs without flashy effects aren't good. It all depends how much those effects fit with the anime choice and the song.

God you think that the vids in the VCA's are super flashy, im used to watching like 40-50 vids a day for 2 weekends for the VAT judging for AWA and like half of them are really really flashy. After like 3 hours of that my head hurts.
