I watched NGE after Engel and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien after 3 videos Lonely Day, Reflections and Jealousy which were presented on Akross Con 2006.

Recently, I watched Ikki Tousen because of a Judge Holden AMV.
Right now Im watching Minami-ke because of that Clarissa AMV.
And due to this thread, Kino no Tabi had been added to the list.

Many AMV's have caused me to purchase anime. Recently I have been getting fansubs because of some RL finacial crisis's but once everything smoothes out I'll have to get another book case for more videos. Trigun was one that I got interested in from an AMV, Clannad, Kiddy Grade and many many others.

I think that I watched a good percentage of animes, because of amvs and I really started to watch animes, because of them.

The last stuff that I purchsed because of an amv was Mahoromatic season 1. I think they´re really good advertising for new and old stuff alike.

The influence is bigger for music: I found most of my favorite bands with amvs. I´m really thankful for that. Thx ;_;

.... i didnt like the sound of Host club at first then i went looking for amvs for one of my fav songs and an amv for host club showed up... so i watch the amv and found it really funny..... and strated watching host club..... i fell in love with it.... same thing for Hellsing.....^_^

Something I never got, why can you can't an 80 px image sig, but you can have two 40 px images. 80 px is f_cking small enough without have to split it into two seprate pictures.

And I agree bazui, AMVs have gotten me into alot more new music than new anime.
