These days I find that an old school video needs to be really well made for me to enjoy it more from overexposure and the same old idea's being made over and over again just with different series and songs. If the editor is showing the same old scene that everyone else has used 1000 times before then I prefer they add some tasteful effects or something new with it...
new banzors in the making :p

I was a huge fan of AMVs back in High school...(about 2002) I made about 4 videos...and i thought they were the best videos every...I was using...very basic...video editing tools too. However, after High school...i stop making videos because i was focusing on trying to become designer, but that failed big time...anyway long story short...I want to make AMVs again...I can still feel the hot burning spirit of video editing within me...I can still imagine awesome AMVs while driving home from work and listening to the radio...but i just took a look at some of the most recent made AMVs...and you can imagine i feel like shit...because those videos look INSANE!!!! some of them look like a whole team of pro editors worked for months on them...
Is my time lost forever...should i even try making videos...when people are just this good...and the standers are raised so high.. i feel that i can't even compare...is there hope for me and my imagination?

I refuse to use those fancy effects in my videos. If I do use effect, they have a point aside from adding 'beauty.' I will give effects a chance when they help the video. Kinda like this video.
Some of my favorite videos are by those who use no effects, just clever editing.
Euphoria still gives me headaches.
