The world ends decemeber 21, 2012...
AMV's will be six feet under of course along with us.
IF you believe it that is
In all honesty, I just hope the site is still up and running in 5 years without laws and cases running against it. I could care less how amv's change cause that doesn't mean all of us have to follow suite.
I agree with the HD amv's being mainstream by then though and the file limit increase will be necesary for it .

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Poor Vlad. But at least it will be of natural causes. (*hugs* Vlad. *^_^*)Vax wrote: - Some very popular AMV maker will die
My Predictions-
-There will be a new shiny codec that everyone will start encoding their vids in
-There will be a new shiny media player needed to play these vids
-The tb will be the new gb
-A couple more anime, most likely including Death Note, will have joined the overused DBZ/Naruto/Bleach list
-Koop will make another epicly popular AMV
-I will still be making Hello Kitty vids.
Though I have to agree, I hope the site is even still here in 5 yrs.

In 5 years:
- Effects will see a sudden lashback, possibly due to the effects overload that we will eventually see (or already have). As effects become more easy to create, there will be a split between those who chose to only use them where needed and those who chose to pursue creating more and more elaborate effects (which we already have now, but to a larger degree)
- As the hobby gains popularity and more and more amvs are created, the ratio of good to bad amvs will increase significantly
- You will have forgotten about this thread
- Naruto will end, inducing a large fluctuation of naruto amvs like the world has never seen before
- Skittles will be considered "Old school" editing
- Kionon will still be making old school vids
- I will have released my first AMV (hopefully)

...crap, my post got wiped and replaced with that.
I laughed at Pas's comment outloud in the teachers' lounge and has to explain why I was laughing. Ended up mentioning a bit of the history and showing obamanation and explaining this is the hobby's BBS.
My only prediction is that we will have more contact with the M@D community due to youtube and niconicodouga.
I work with a M@D creator.
