Indeed, pretty often studios themselves don't actually collaborate. All the members kinda just do their own thing anyway.

Many of the "big" studios here are mainly for the name and shared webspace.

Yes, what I'm saying is you don't need to be in a studio to "know people".Alex-ok wrote:You can sometimes have both?CrackTheSky wrote:There's a difference between "knowing somebody" and being in a studio.
Can you not?

You are extremely right about not being a part of a studio to get recognition, if your skills are tite and you can keep up a steady pace of quality amvs you got it going on enough to not be a part of a studio, I learned that when I first started editing on youtube. And in most cases everyone has their own style and you do have that one person that viewers can see doesn't belong in a studio if his or her members are way better than that person, which makes the whole studio look unlegit like anyone can join. If people can see you do a great job independently that makes you look better as an editor, along with that though comes people asking for you to be a part of their studioMoonie wrote:Yep, yepCrackTheSky wrote:It is not necessary to be in a studio to get recognition, since that seems to be what you're trying to acocmplish. As long as your videos are good, it doesn't matter one bit if you're in a studio or not.micktam12 wrote:thanks for the answer m8 ^^

good question.
well there are some reasons
1) to show people my skill
2) to be apart of something that i can do (trust me i am crap at sport and math and this is something that isent hard and you have total will on everything that is going on) lol
3) and to just take advantage of what i have now .. i am a improving AMV and i am confident to be in a studio
You don't need to be part of a studio to get recognition.
All you need to do is make some cool videos ^_^
I used to do the group thing with my studio some years back but now I fly solo.
My reason for having a studio isn't for recognition or something like that.
I go by Soul Anime Productions because the name represents some of the types of video I make and being listed under that, makes them sound all official and stuff. =)
That's the reason why I have one.
If you are still set on being in a studio, you can always make your own and get some friends to join it.
I'm staying solo.

All I have to say is you have some work to do.
My best suggestion is to look at some "really good" videos and try and figure out what you like about them and what it is that makes those aspects enjoyable to watch.
