Yeah let other creators pay for the DVDs and prepare the material for you!

Once, someone made a video entry for my Bachelorette video (complete with download link)...in the entry, he said he had made it for his girlfriend. I downloaded the video, and it was my exact video. I felt like emailing him with "Well, since I'm the one who actually made the video, does that mean I get to fuck your girlfriend?"
For some reason I never get tired of you posting that story.
And btw, yes it does mean you can fuck his gf.
I think that it actually means I get to fuck his g/f...dont ask me why it's just a feeling

I admit back in my "can't do crap with premier" phase i did take other people amvs and screw around with em, but it doesn't mean you have to post them...I never posted my little crap rip off things and I don't know why anyone else should I mean at least ask the person, how hard is that eh? eh? EHHHHHH??????

I would also like to say anyone who makes AMVs from my vids and posts them on here is a dead man/woman/it/freaky clown cyborg ninja...thats right freaky clown cyborg ninjas you'll get yours too!!

My first music video, which I did two years ago, was done in Windows Movie Maker (1) and used footage ripped from a VCD of a certain well-known fan parody plus a song made using sound bytes sampled from that same VCD, so all the effects and lip synching were already done for me. I just had to make cuts and line things up.

... and now they want me to include that video (remastered) on a DVD release of said fan parody. WTF?!

like when you submit your stuff here, you're not gettin any cash, or any money or anything, unless you win a contest or something down that line and money was involved. and when you're shit and amvs are stolen, that is you could call it stealing, because in the first place you were giving it out freely lol by submitting it ^_^, so you can't really blame other MOFOs who steal your junk and use it, i mean shit, you litterally spilled the m&ms so others could eat them right? some people just take the chocolate m&m and make it pink somehow, others like the yellow one with the peanut, and they take the peanut from that m&m and so on and so forth.
basically when you purposely spill the bag of m&ms, people will like you, or hate you (if you poured them in the dirt lol) or something sentimentally down that line ^_^

so you can't really call it plagerism i gues, because it was free to begin with ^_^

Since you're so fascinated with M&Ms, here's an analogy for you. Let's say you take a regular... green M&M, k? Now, after a series of tests and diagrams and fancy crap, you change it to a special prismatic M&M with twice the flavor and lots of healthy crap in it. Now some guy takes your specially prepared batch of Super M&Ms and passes them off as his own. I don't know about you, but I'd be a little angry.

It might not be illegal of him, but I think you'd still have the right to be angry. And most people should admit it's not a very nice or proper thing to do.

its free m&ms cuz, lol, calm the shizzle down lol, maybe you had dropped the soap or sumtin, or rather the M&ms in the wrong place at the wrong time, but ya, its all about the M&ms, its free man, free!

lol, its pirating more than plagerism, i could find a song in the song finder download that shit, and get a free song cuz! not only that, i get the flavorful eye candy lol.

so screw this plagerism crap, pirating is what this site has worry about lol, free music, explotation of anime footage without concent of its original creators, etc. i mean copyright don't mean shit to these people makin the amvs, they might as well calL themselves pirates lol for the heck of it, and when it comes down to plagerism, i'm not afraid of that, i mean shit, i'm afraid of companies trackin me down, trackin this site down, etc. so what if some MOFO gets a little frazled dazzled for having his M&Ms turned pink lol, he's a pirate as well loll ^_^

I like Paizuri's analogy the best, still.

i might know of some plagiarism. . .
i have two amvs contaning most (of each other) of the same video, not ONLY that, but also, pretty much, they sync up practically PERFECTLY! same layout and everything, the only thing different is the song! is this a problem??

Drop a link to the original and the suspected rip-off in the mods box and they'll take a look at it. Just make sure they weren't both done by the same creator. I know a certain dbz video that was set to two songs (same footage/timing) because the creator wanted to see which song worked best with the footage. Strange...but it's happened. ^_^;

Plagerism means to take the work of another person (partial or not partial) and say it is yours.
Exactly. It's when you claim to be the original creator of an AMV or research paper or whatever, when you included something that another amv creator or writer wrote, and refuse to give due credit, then that is plagarism. It's not very difficult to just state where you got your sources....
