Pen-pen I think has hit it on the spot... the continuance of AMV production will depend largely on generations... each progressing one will definitely try to reinvent how it is all done... so perhaps AMVs as we know it 'can' die in the 5-10 year timeframe but its spirit will live on, possibly in newer and more exciting ways...
Personally, I've always considered myself first and foremost, a writer. I know for sure that no matter how time moves on, that fact will not change. It's only been recently with my fanatic following of AMVs that I have mildly put on hold my writing. Hence, for me perhaps, AMVs may not be something I ever do on as regular a basis as I do now in the future, but I will be damned if there's nobody out there in the world to continue this awesome way of life
