Just do what I do, specify no DBZ/Naruto vids in your free op. I started doing this when I realized any op of the typical DBZ/Naruto vid I did would probably involve lots of cursing and if it's a particularly bad video probably some fond wishes of harm as well.
That being said, originality is more than the anime/song. I personally look primarily at editing style. I have given low originality scores to vids that were the first to use it's anime just because the style was a carbon copy of the typical DBZ action vid or Naruto angst vid. Similarly a vid with overused anime that has an unusual editing style deserves high marks. For example, I consider The Wasteland pretty original despite the fact that Eva is almost as overused as DBZ and Naruto (not that I actually oped it or anything). Scene selection, anime, and song all affect originality but far less than the editing style IMNSHO.
As for revenge ops, fuck em. I think the prevelance of revenge ops is vastly overrated. I've never recieved a single one despite being below orgs average on all scoring catagories. I suspect it's partially because I explain my scores in the op which helps eliminate the illusion that I just gave out random bad scores.
