Rocky Horror Picture Show is a good idea, I have made 2 AMVs using the songs 'Science Fiction / Double Feature' and 'Sweet Transvestite' and both are pretty popular. However as there are several version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (my AMVs use songs from different versions) and there are different songs in each version we made need to decide which ones to use.
Technically that's cause one of those isn't RHPS.

The Picture Show moniker only applies to the movie soundtrack. Any alternate recordings from stage versions are The Rocky Horror Show (which does have some differences (including an additional song from Brad entitled 'Once In a While')

...but, that's just being anal...although the show has potential

I was refering to posting a link to all the AMVs after we made them. Anyway setting up a website is not that difficult, I have made several. The difficulty is finding a free one that will let you upload music.

Don't worry I think that interesting. Though you are right about the different songs.

Initially suggested this in another thread, but, since it was suggested might as well bring it up here...

While it'd be a tricky one to try and actually work a coherent story out of, 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' has a couple of songs which could have some good video potential (in particular I'm thinking 'A Little Priest' and 'Not While I'm Around')

Like, a link to the ORG after the videos are uploaded, or a link to the AMVs sitting on someone else's turf waiting to be uploaded? The latter is...not what you mean, I think. :? As for the former, if the multi-editor project garnered enough interest to even get underway, then finished, one would *hope* this would be enough to drive people to download the various pieces parts. Each AMV would be clearly marked as belonging to The Musical, with directions for what AMV to watch before and after whatever one someone was downloading. The custom made prologue and epilogue for each also would clearly identify the other AMVs, their makers etc. for ease of locating them.
RolltheStampede wrote: well if this was a single edited video then you would be right but when you have a multi editor project you usually creast an interest bearing thread in the Multi editor section to see if people want to join in on the project, atleast that where i look to find multi editor project hince the name.
I wouldn't post this kind of thing in that forum until I knew for sure it could even be done. Nothing says this forum can't be used for multi editor project suggestions. Besides, there does seem to be interest. Let's hash out the logistics here, then open our big mouths over there.

*deep breath* Ok, so...do we feel a straight musical The Musical isn't going to work? We've been beating around the bush on the issue of whether mixing various anime would work out well, which is how we ended up on the progressive video tangent (another project for another time, ne?). Within one song, mixed anime definately wouldn't work, within The Musical itself...maybe it would. Perhaps we do need to bring this up over at the MEP forum, because if we could attract a number of individuals with quality footage from the same anime this issue would be moot.

Ok, listened through the Spamalot soundtrack last night and I don't think it would work. There's not enough exposition. I'm a fan of Monty Python's "The Search for the Holy Grail" and still had trouble following along at times.

Upon further thought, I'm not sure that the Rocky Horror Show would be ideal, simply because the characters are so "far out."

:?

How depressing. If we had giant, man-eating plants from outerspace available we could consider "Little Shop of Horrors." *winces at the thought of new uses for tentacles*

Now all we'd need is the sadist dentist.

'Course, I could also see Seargent Keroro doing "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space"...

We do have a sadist dentist, actually - Speed Grapher to the rescue! Footage is kind of limited, though.

Oh definitely! I did one video of NGE to Jesus Christ Superstar a while back, and I'd love to take a crack at Broadway AMVs again. I have a limited anime collection, but no shortage of ideas on how to use it.
