I also moved since the last version of this, but just across town rather than across an ocean. Here's the new setup:
Explained:
1 - Battlefreak, running W2K on Athlon 3000+ with 1GB RAM, the main-line editing station.
2 - Onslaught, running WinXP on A64 3200+ with 1GB RAM, the now-mostly-retired portable editing station.
3 - Keystone, running Win98 on AMD K6 II with 160 MB RAM, now retired and not actually powered on in this shot.
4 - 17-inch flatscreen CRT, currently showing Battlefreak. If Keystone was plugged in, there would be a KVM switch somewhere on this rig to switch between them, but that's still in its crate.
5 - blank media; CDs on top, DVDs on bottom.
6 - 120GB external drive, currently receiving file transfer from Onslaught.
7 - crate of DVDs. Not shown: the other crate under it, and approximately 650 CDs in several other large boxes.
I should clean this up some, but work, World Cup, and editing for Connichi (see monitor) are kind of precluding that.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

you forgot the medals and trophies ...jubjub2 wrote:My office is about the same, too. I added some new plushies from the last two cons, and a Kaleido Star poster. But that's about it.

ok I needed to take two pictures cuz my camera skills are pretty much non existant -_-
taken with my freebee quikcam (webcam)
you see my computer, box of dvds above it, can of compressed air beside the 'monitor' (bigass speaker in laymans language ;p). next we see the mx500 wireless mouse base next to the bubblejet in the cubby hole is an audio studio thing (it's for work with my brother's band, equilizer, mic input etc.) and dsl modem. you can see a sliver of my 19" lcd on the desk with the keyboard underneath and the impossible chair parked beneath that. Everything is decked out in grey and black ;p (cept the imposible chair... but the good chair is being used so...) just how I like it -_-.
ok pretty norm... cept my hand in there cuz I suck and don't have a digital camera. (it's a wireless mouse... I coulda just done it from there... but ;p I suck and I'm an egotistical maniac -_-)[/img]
