Thats kind of like saying your opinion means nothing more than another guys opinion because everyone has one. Whether someone's opinion is valid or not is a case by case basis depending on about a bajillion things.
Yep.. call me what you will... but its true... yer opinion only has as much power as I give it. |:

Must we feed the troll, crew?

It's obvious this person has no idea what they're talking about. I won't even deign to address the inherent inaccuracy in the original post.

I find that a viewer with no videos of their own is a much better, and more honest critic than a pompous creator who thinks they are the greatest thing since bottled beer. For one, without a video of their own, the viewer isn't afraid of the editor getting back at them by giving a low op to one of their own videos. Secondly, a creator is more likely to judge a video in comparison to their own editing style, and make completely useless comments like "you should have done this" or "next time try to do this video more like _____ video".

I don't think she's a troll. I think she's just left the dogpi-- er, topic.

I think many are vastly overcomplicating a simple thread. Either take the opinion of the critics, therefore learning how to make your AMV better. Or don't, and therefore continuting the same AMV mistakes. Some will and some will not, it's as simple as that. Although there are many circumstances that might make one weary of a certain opinion. Such as: how long one has been AMV editing, what kind of background one has, or if somebody just simply doesn't like you and wants to screw your AMV OP and Star rating. In those cases, it is up to you, the editor, wether or not to take their critisisms into view. Personally, I take all of my mistakes pointed out to me as good. I can then gain in skill. Like I have said before, my first few vid's were duds, and my last lip-sync vid was bad too. I then took the opinions of the many members here and have decided to take a month to do this next vid. While taking more time, I check off all of my earlier mistakes and make sure that I do not do the same thing. For example:

Do I have acceptable video footage?
Do I have acceptable music quality?
Are there watermarks and/or logos?

Just take everything into consideration, and don't take things so personally. The people here (for the most part) only wish to guide video makers into making a great quality AMV.
