What kind of situation do you need to feel creative?

For me, when I get a good idea the best thing to do is to grab it, tie it up and hold it at gunpoint to ensure it won't escape and alert local authorities. Also sleep deprivation is very helpful. I find that when I begin something around 10pm, by 1am I'll have entered that state of pure efficiency where you're too tired to think freely. (sorta like self-induced brainwashing) And I find I do my best work when I work on it for a few long periods of time, rather than many short periods. Lucky for me I'm used to sleeping 3-5 hours a day and functioning normally, so my schedule's rarely thrown off. Breaks are important. Break for 5-10 minutes every few hours for sustinance. Lastly, check over your work when you're rested and have a clear mind. Those are the types of things that work for me.

Haha, that's awsome and so frequently true. Anyway, for me there is no real means. My creativitity comes from just listening to music. As for the plannign stages creativity then it's just setting the song on endless repeat with my eyes closed. Either a video comes to me or I fall asleep. . .
Either way it's a win win situation
