Mine all suck, full stop, and yet I watch some of them pretty often. Every third time I watch AMVs in general, thereabouts. Same kinds of factors that other people have said:
a) I make stuff with series, songs, ideas, etc. that appeal to me - "if I didn't watch, who would" is literal in this case. Sheesh, in a couple of cases it was "if I don't make this, nobody will, because who in the hell would want to?"
b) It's fun to remember how they were made, even if it was frustrating at the time. After a while, even dumb-ass mistakes are amusing.
c) I can see where they went wrong, at least in obvious technical things, but I've learned from my mistakes, and hopefully I'm not repeating the same mistakes (except making videos at all
)
It varies, video by video. Some age better than others, and some I'm just never in the mood to watch.
Yeah, it's a little pathetic, but I'm not shut up in a dark room replaying past glories 8 hours a day or anything.
