To quote the great philosopher Flumeister in his video "Halloween:"
"Flashing scenes of gore guarantees a great video..."

Movement.

I want the anime to move in time to the music. The footage itself, not effects placed on top of the footage. My favorite action vid is 'Eternal Damnation' because of the scene choices as much as the quick cuts. I like to be able to forget the editor and imagine that the anime itself was made to do this, to match this song. I want my immediate excited response to be "I had no idea this anime was so frickin cool~!" and not "his editing is really tight and, wow, those effects look like they took forever".

I wouldnt call it an action video. Unlike most Naruto amvs, it tries to have a plot

WOTB is an action video by all means, a video dosnt have to have no plot to be action -_-

JudgeHolden - with that being said, release PR3 already!

How much are flashy fight scenes important, meaning, how much should I edit the scenes?

So blurs make good action video? Is this because KD,SMV, etc.. editors that are decent on youtube use these?. You need to expand your view before commenting on stuff MCHY
