I agree that most of the amvs announced in this fashion are mainstream watered down crap, but who said the quality would have been better if the editer announced them one at a time?
I don't see anywhere that says the editor rushed editing their amvs just so they can do multi releases.
Let not concentrate on the whole "quantity > quality" thing and look only at the quality.

While it can be annoying I find there is some slack. As there are epople like me who will make two or three videos within the year and neglect to post them until much later so they all pop up at once.
I don't make announcement threads but I tend to do things this way because I wait for all the cons I enter to showcase my stuff before I post them, that way since some of my videos rely on a first viewing surprise I don't lose that at the con.
That said though, this does not excuse making tons of videos and announcing them all at once as if you are an editing machine.

I'll agree with Otohiko on this one, not just me but a few other people I knew would sit down with an idea for 4 or 5 days and put in hours and hours (on days off) for those 5 days and come up with a pretty decent video.Otohiko wrote:Also, time to edit != quality. Not damn fucking near.
So it's all in how well you work in a time frame, I personally lose interest after a long period of time (2 or 3 months, no way). Call it what you will but I get bored with the same old idea and would move on if a video took to long to process in my head [on the screen].
