Yeah, see the issue with that is that a huffyuv encoder has not been universally applied on mac, so what you get is the oddball program that can natively manipulate it, like simplemoviex, but no systemwide usage that allows for disparite programs to utilise the encoding abilities when they seem to exist. I have successfully encoded huffyuv on tiger, a ppc no less, but that encoder was lost along with everything when bad memory destroyed my mini's operating system and I had to have the apple store install fresh Leo. I have no idea where to restart the search, but between crossover, amvapp, and simplemoviex, there has been no need. Castor's method is great if you're on a ppc but for an intel, avisynth is the way to go IMHO.kmv wrote:Thanks for the pointer. I note that it exports into huffyuv too (via the "hinted" option).Kionon wrote:SimpleMovieX
In my case, it is probably of limited use as FCP will take an AVI, so I probably won't register it. But definitely a tool to have in the back pocket though.
Now, if only there was a way to get FCP to use huffyuv as an editing codec...
Kmv, you owe me some wine instructions, right? |:
