All of Todd's ops are amazing...

For me it depends on who I am giving the op to.

Some people don't want their crap to be nitpicked to hell, and some people do. So I try to cater to the taste of the person receiving the op, however if I don't know their taste then the most I can do is leave them a standard op that points out why I scored the way I did.

For leaving ops to my friends I'll leave un-detailed ops to because they usually know my nitpicks from beta testing and they don't need me to write them out again or rub their noses in them. IMHO it doesn't need to be permanently attached to their video profile till the org dies, that would make me feel really self centered if I did that to them.

For receiving ops the scores aren't the important part of the op to me. I could care less about getting all 1s or all 10s its what is said in the op that really matters to me.

I tend to give the longer OP the worse the vid is, because I try to list its faults from my point of view (bad sync, effects, flow, etc)

So if you get a short OP from me, it's basically because I found it awesome and I can't find any mistakes :>

I pretty much x2 on Nya-chan Productions. My opinions are basically there to show people what mistakes they have made. If something is really good, I like to write about it and tell the Editor that the stuff he did was really awsm, but basically my longer ops are done for videos I didn't like too much :3

I never said I sugar coat em. I said I try to convey my point without sounding like a total a**hole. I don't go "Well, good for trying." or other BS like that. I just avoid being blunt. Except for just now. But my forum posts are very different from my ops.
I was replying to Chiika lol the fact that YOU of all ppl reply to this is just kind of scary.... are you Chi??

I wasn't complaining about bad reviews. I was simply asked whether or not i really think about my ops, which for the most part i don't.

Haven't given an OP in more than a year, but I used to really think about the ones I gave.

I think that constructive criticism in reviews is helpful, I want to improve because of them. I don't like it when someone just writes, "Ew, this AMV sucks!" and doesn't tell the creator how to improve themselves.

I try to be as respectful to the editor as I can when I leave an opinion. When I review a video for an opinion I attempt to see it through the editor’s eyes. I also avoid judging the “art” side and concentrate on the mechanics as much as possible.

I would like to think I am part of the ones that do.
