Well shit. I don't diss the newbs, I just think phade should make a minimum $20 donation to upload, but keep the download at no donation level... That would make it alot easier to sort out the chaff from video makers that are in it for the long haul... because rather than judging newbs by the quality of their first video, or by what they use to make it, I judge them by whether they whether they would have been willing to buy hosting 6 months ago.

I had my first video and and nearly raped Omni with mean text when he gave it a score that I didn't want. But you just don't know then. You're so excited about the amv, that you're just in a hurry to show everyone and don't pay attention to nething else.
I read the guides, read the damn premiere book, watched some tuturials, and bombarded klinky with questions. You feel more prepared when you have an idea for an AMV. But that's all it does =\.

I think that this is getting too competitional. If you want to get better, that's fine, but aiming to be the best creator and doing this for 'popularity' and free sex from fyrt is just crap. It takes ne fun out of it.

That's great when someone wants to upload a video they had fun doing and show it someone else. But if you're saying that there's too many linkin ball z videos, well you could say that there's a lot of movies in a particular genre. I don't think using an Anime that's 'rarely been used' makes you a better AMV maker. It's what you can do with the video that makes you a 'good creator'.

I'd like a cookie.
Hey? What's wrong with free sex? ^_^ Anyways, I went back to that vid you mentioned and nobody has seen it again? I like what you stated here though... You LEARNED from your mistakes. I can take a flame. I'm sure ALL the good editors get flamed every now and then. No matter HOW "silent" they be.

We need more people to step up. Who else knows what they're doing and WILL break this "trend" that's occuring with their little "difference"?

Here's my opinion.

Fuck you, Omni. People make what they want to make, and you can't stop them. Hey, I'm making a Trigun/LP video! You don't wanna watch it, fine, don't fucking watch it, but don't fucking diss me because I made it. Fuck off then.

I see, then you DON'T want my help if it flops...

What's wrong with getting help? I asked for it. It's like that newbie who shows up and says in his vid description...

"MY FIRST AMV BEST ONE EVAAAARRR!!!" Then the poor guy gets flamed to a crisp by BOTH editors and casual watchers alike...

I'll opinionate that vid for you if you wish.

Oh, to get back on topic, did you read the guides and figured out how to do things Wolfwood?

I second this idea, only I think some sort of pay-per-video deal, or according to the storage amount (mbs) would fit nicely. I got off on a one-time donation for this year, but I'd gladly pay more if necessary. And I think anyone who would be willing to go that far could easily claim immunity from criticism according to anime/music choice. It would at least be a limit. Then again, poor people want to upload, too... I don't know if I would have felt this way if I didn't have a job or money to donate. :?

No, I experimented with it until I knew how to work it all, well, all except AVISynth, which I read A&E's guide plus readme's for the filters.

I never read Phade's guide or any of the others because I have no need. I make AMVs for personal enjoyment, and I don't give a crap what other people think of my AMVs.

I was always surprised this wasn't a condition from the inception of the plan. It makes the most sense. :?

Hmm, NDW, if you DON'T CARE about what people think about your amvs or don't give a shit about "the good" amvs and that "NDW's VIDS are the best and nobody can beat them, BEST AMVS EVAAARR", then uh...

*long pause...

Why post them here on the org where everyone can voice their thoughts on it?

The term "read the guides" comes to mind and some people ignore them? Alright cool, but are YOU gonna stop the people complaining about the bad vids by helping them with their ammo?

AH HAH!! ( )
