I would prefer if the Quick Comments weren't anonymous, not because I want to know who's saying what about my videos, but so that I can have some sort of response. I have this one where they say there's only the audio, no video. I know this is a codec error, but this person doesn't, and I don't know who it is to help them.

I would like them to stay anonymous and rather have a reply field added.

Typos happen as you've illustrated yourself. One typo doesn't make a bad comment. Telling you I don't like the song doesn't make my opinion bad, it just makes it different from yours.

First, I'm posting on a forum at 4:30am, not leaving feedback on a vid. Second, a vid is not good or bad based on what song I choose. I like constructive criticism. But what am I supposed to do with, 'That song sux?' It isn't constructive, it doesn't help me to make a better AMV next time. I appreciate people who tell me that they think the song was not the right one to choose BECAUSE..... Not people who just tell me, "I don't like the song." I don't like much rap music, and I hate almost all country. That isn't going to dissuade me from giving a worthwhile opinion on a video containing either genre, because whether or not I personally like that kind of music is irrelevant.

Have you considered that maybe THEY posted that at 4:30am? We have members from all over the world, it could be any time of day or night for them. Also, they are "quick" comments, it's easy to make a typo when typing fast. Making a typo with one letter in ONE word is not that big of a deal, and does not make a person an idiot (especially considering the fact that the letter W is right next to the letter E on the keyboard). Obviously, they knew how to spell the word great since they remarked that you had "great quality".

To me, that seems like a good quick comment. It was quick, they said what they liked (GREAT edition and quality) and didn't like (the song), short, sweet and to the point. If this is your idea of 'idiocy', be glad. There are people who've gotten QC's that are much, much worse.

I've learned that expecting, or even looking for, constructive criticism or anything else that is remotely useful from the Org userbase, or really humanity in general, is one of the most hopeless endeavours in which an individual can engage.

if you want constructive critisim then go to the opinion exchange and find someone who wants to give it to you.. dont sit around and hope that the masses will just hand it to you on a platter... it usually doesnt work that way.

everyone has already heard my standpoint on QCs, but I'd have to agree, they are ment to be quick and too the point.

If someone were to send me something like "hay good video, but I hate the song" then I can accept that as a difference in taste... Thats fine. Agree to dissagree.

Quick Comments just give lamers an easy way to bash your work with 0 consequence. They hide happily behind anonymity...

ANd if that's really their asshole opinion, they are entitled to it. They are chicken for using that as a means to just leave a flame, but you need to just take it in stride and realize that these people are sad, stupid people, who have no life. These are the kind of peopel who post anonymously on 4chan with flames and painful images. I hear those people never go to 4chan meetings at cons. However, you may have met one of these flamer losers at a con at some point, and never knew it.

But oh well... quick comments are there, and they are anonytmous. Deal with it.
