As for the rest, well, we all have our own agenda in making videos, and revolutionizing AMVs will most likely never be the leading driving factor for people to edit. It will merely just be a trendy thing to do until people realize that instead of wasting their time trying to deepen the concept of an AMV, that they should really concentrate on making their own product instead of manipulating other people's original work to make their concept actually mean something.
We'll only revolutionalize if our deepest fears come true and the youtube crowds actually take over this place. WATCH US THEN!

Nothing really. AMV-ing will improve, due to technology and what not, we'll have some more great people come here and shock us with something new, but more or less it's just a hobby. We'll have our small group of people pushing the envelope further and further and the majority just editing for the pure heck of it.

we are too "mean" that will never happen... because most of those ppl want to hear how awsum their videos are and can't handle the negative crit... I do respect the few who have been able to move over and handle the crit without whining and crying that the boobtube is so much better

after all, who wants to watch a TV series that actually WAS in 3D from the start!?!??
I would like to know more. (click)

Have you ever watched the Milkdrop visualization on Winamp with 3D glasses on? I've lost many, many hours this way.

I think I'll try to hunt down some 3D AMVs now. Tee hee. ^-^ 3D is the wave of the future. The wave of the future. The wave of the future...

I'm quite anxious to see what people will do with it.

The answer is yes and no...

I guess this hobby has a competitive side to it, which is also one of the reasons I like it...I love watching vids at contests and the whole feeling I get when I have one in that's competing. Win or lose, it's just really kickass to be there along with everybody and watch their awsm vids. It just makes me want to try new things or to try harder, and I come away envigorated.

I guess on the downside this can lead to drama, but you can't really make stuff in this kind of environment and share it without some kind of drama or criticism coming up. The key is to not care about that :)

Or an amv reality show, where we watch a number of creators live together, all sharing the same anime collection. Every week they make a new amv and the one the audience likes the least gets voted off. There can be challenges made, software stolen, the usual fun stuff.
