Yeah but, didn't the company contact editors from here to do it? I know dokidoki made one of them...Kitsuner wrote:The ones on the last disc of Noir were pretty cool.Castor Troy wrote:*real* anime music videos are pretty bad, the ones done by the companies themselves as DVD extras.
The tank! music video on the Cowboy Bebop DVDs was terrible.
Could real music videos be any more badly edited?

They got paid for them, so I don't see why they wouldn't count. (AbsoluteDestiny, Kusoyaro, and Nightowl made the others.)MiyaDV wrote:Yeah but, didn't the company contact editors from here to do it? couldn't have said it better than douggie.
what amvs are generally doing isn't special, and honestly, it (mostly) does not work if you're doing a professional/original work.
you're generalizing music videos by saying they are badly edited, but, making amvs does not provide a good understanding of the concepts of editing there are, sorry.
I've seen lots of great music videos that by far surpass the best amvs out there.
Trying to compare them will most likely be meaningless, see above for the reasons.

the ones on the Sukisho DVDs made me want to cry, The ones on the Green Green DVDs were meh and boring but at the least they looked like someone tried editing them more than the lagging lipflap scenes of the sukisho ones (I wonder who got them to make those things)... I heard the "gits" dvd special was terrible as well...Castor Troy wrote:*real* anime music videos are pretty bad, the ones done by the companies themselves as DVD extras.
