I think that even if the top 10% were changed in a way where it wasn't based on op scores and star ratings, people would still say it sucks, just cause everyone has different tastes.

and for all its worth, i guess im a friend jerk + amvs using anime i like. If a friend didnt make it or if it doesnt use a show i like, then i probably won't watch it.
