My first video was In The End (A Vegeta Tribute) by Dark Kamui. In fact, it was the sole reason I began to make AMV's. He inspired me...Of course, that was before I heard about the whole LinkinPark/DBZ thing bein overused...but the editing was the best I'd ever seen...

First one I saw was made by my friend using downloaded footage (Network symbols and watermarks all over the place.). A Vegeta tribute to "Only God Knows Why" by Kid Rock. He showed me about 3 more, and I asked "How do you make those?"

If he can do it, why can't I? :D

Beowulf's the only other person who mentioned it, but I first saw Bitches back in the day, '99

I know I first saw some about 3 or so years ago but for the life of me I can't remember what... so I'll just go with the amv that introduced me to the org. Kusoyaro's Sappy Self Indulgence. Once I saw that I had to get a copy and I think there was a link to this site on his website. Although I may have already been here before that and simply been scared off by the LBZ stuff (and the fact I had a 56k back then). Oh, I can't remember that either... the past is all one big fuzzy patch of fog.

Reasons you can't: None.
Reasons I can't: So many I'll only list some...
1) I need to know what the hell I'm doing
2) I need to get a job.
3) I'm doomed!

I guess I'm copping out by not giving one video, but I can't remember which one of these three it was in 1999:

Kyoto Kombat (2.0 ) by Kusoyaro Productions

Glory of Love by Kusoyaro Productions (OMGWTF dwchang copied him!11111ONE!!! Hsien owns the rights to this song!!!)

"Final Countdown" by Europe set to Neon Genesis Evangelion by Mirth Studios/Rogue Studios (I can't for the life of me remember the guys name. Kusoyaro has told me like two times already -_-;;).

I'm pretty sure it was the first one (Kyoto Kombat), but *shrug*. I know those three were my favorites for a long time and didn't think anyone could do better -_-;; IIRC I got it from a site with the name "Gotenks" in the title. It was this anime site (now shutdown) that had a bunch of anime clips/opening/endings and few music videos (those listed).

The first AMV I ever saw was the Final Fantasy Tribute and the remake of it. Althought at the time I didn't actually know that it was called an AMV, I just thought it was a cool lil piece of fandom that was completely unique. It wasn't until about a year later that I learned about the .org, I can't remember from where, either from some place on Usenet or maybe on the CCS Uncensored message boards...*scratches head*...can't quite remember for certain. I first started really getting into the scene when I was looking for uncut subbed episodes of CCS off KaZaA and was downloading pretty much any piece of video that was related, inlcuding a few AMVs. In fact my very first AMV, Beginings, is actually based on one of those first ones I downloaded off KaZaA. I used the same anime and song, but took a different approach as far as editing and content. And from then on I was hooked.

I still don't get why you don't put these back up Hsien. They're classics :)..and the lip sync in Kyoto Kombat is teh AWESOME!!1!11ONE. No seriously, I used to think that :)

First one was Kyoto Kombat, followed by Blue Mercury, then Torn Apart. Next was the Final Fantasy Tribute to Staring At The Sun by Offspring. :D

Then came the onslaught of bad DBZ ones.

Then I found the ORG. ;)

And then I posted in this thread.
