Kare Kano psychoanalysis...
To respond...cuz I've been lazy and haven't...
Merm - *directs Merm to the front page* No Linkin Park. Don't get me wrong - I love the band, and that is one of my favorite songs...I just don't want to use one of their songs in an AMV. Maybe someday I will, just to get my obligatory Linkin Park AMV in. ^_^ Today's not that day, though.
Well, I have brainstormed some more with the help of a friend. Turns out, I came up with a bunch of songs for Kare Kano. Why it only happened when I had just that anime left is beyond me.
What I came up with is this: Counting Crows - "Accidentally in Love" (which I first heard in a wonderful Please Teacher video by Bakadeshi), "Things I'll Never Say" by Avril Lavigne (which already has one Kare Kano video to it, but since my video is just a short section, I may use that song anyway), or "Miss Independent" by Kelly Clarkson. I'm not really a fan of the third song, but it could work VERY well for Kare Kano. Problem is, it is already used in a multi-anime video with Kare Kano. In a situation like that, my thinking is as such: since the video isn't completely devoted to that one anime, then I still consider it fair game.
So...
Counting Crows - "Accidentally in Love"
Avril Lavigne - "Things I'll Never Say"
Kelly Clarkson - "Miss Independent"
I'd be willing to use any of the three, but I can't make up my mind. What do you guys think? Tell me, okies?
Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Do counting crows, avoid making a video that is already created.
P.S. Forgot about LP. I have been with this since the beginning so I haven't been to the front page since who knows?

Close Your Eyes. Free Your Mind. Meditate. Now, think of Kare Kano. How would you sum it up in one word? One Sentence? One Emotion? Now listen to all three songs one after another - which one best sums up that feeling you get from Kare Kano?

I might suggest you start a new thread for this topic so you can get feedback from more KK fans.

Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

"And how does that make you feel?" -_-
Hmm...thoughts...thoughts...
Warheart - hey hey hey! I happen to like "Accidentally in Love." However, I will agree with you on the other two. I'm not a huge fan of either one, but they DO fit Kare Kano well, you have to admit.
Merm - that's kind of what my thoughts were, too. I don't really want to do a video that's already been done. So, while I have to say that I am leaning towards that song, I still have an attachment to trying the other two. Yeah, I figured that someone was bound to mention Linkin Park, anyway, so it's not a big deal. And thanks for sticking with me all this time. Although, I feel kind of guilty that you and I never really "clicked" on a song. Know what I mean?
pinky - funny thing is, I've already tried thinking of Kare Kano and listening to the songs in succession. I was still confused afterwards. I may end up posting another little thread. I know that people who weren't with me from the beginning might be a little intimidated of a thread with a decently hefty amount of posts on it already. That sentence sounded funny, but you get my drift. There are a lot of people who don't want to wade through four pages of posts to catch up on what I'm asking for. Yeah, I think I'll do that - post another thread, that is. It may grab more attention.

Is there any song you're leaning toward? Try mentally making a vid to each song. What footage could you use where? Instrumentals? What scenes could fit? What scenes won't?

Maybe this is redundant, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted in response! I really appreciate it! Just brainstorming ideas really helped, even if I didn't use them. They got my creative juices flowing and simply introduced me to just plain good music.
So, all in all, thanks. Many thanks. Uber thanks. ^_^
