Irrational Judgements... Which ones are you guilty of?

Every once and a while you run across a profile with like hundreds of opinions received, and the number of opinions given has not even reached double digits. I get the idea those people are kinda stuck-up. They’ve been here for years, are you telling me you don’t have time? You have time to make AMVs, why not give a few opinions?

I know, I know, maybe they just don’t want to give opinions, because every video they have ever seen sucks, and they don’t want to be mean. Except their own.

I know just about everyone here has gotten a 1 in the star before and was like, “huh”? “How did I get a 1?” I often come to the conclusion that the person who gave the 1 just gives them to everyone, because they are an emotional gremlin.

All are banners look the same. Is that because like 15% (much more if you consider only the new logo banners are shown) of the total banners are made by two people that appear to emulate each other, or is it just happenstance? Maybe it’s just me and I fail to realize that not all pre-teen anime girls look alike. (for the love of all that is holy stop voting for them)

many (in many i mean countless) ppl in this thread haave complained about members w/ bad writing habbits and/or that cant express themselves properly..... i gess im one of them..... but since english is not my native langage, it took me about 13 years or so to get to the level i can read 3-4 lines of subs at talking speed w/o needing to pouse the video and can understand the heavy technical language used in the guides.... and i still lack in grammar and spelling.... yet, i dont think than "u" or "r" makes someones writing "not understandable". i dubt any of u cant read " OMFG ROFL U N00b" .......

just my 2 shekels....

I am very guilty of this. I've seen so many videos over the time I've been here that are just awful. It gets very disheartening over a long period of time. Its not fun writing a thesis on how something sucks, especially when that same person has just written a glowing review of your own video with all 10s. I've stopped doing opinion swaps for just that reason. I know its not honest, but fuck honesty, I'm not going to write hundreds of pages of text that will only hurt peoples feelings.

But seriously, I like to look at people's opinions given and their usefulness score from time to time, but other than that I generally only download stuff that's either A: recommended to me, or B: By someone I know. Occasionally I'll randomly download something with a song or anime I love, and usually I end up disappointed.

I generally assume anyone with exceptionally good spelling and grammar does not speak english as a first language. Though they usually give it away by apologizing for their perfect english at the end

I choose not to read that and I also choose to think less of a person who writes like that (unless, of course, they're doing it in a mocking manner towards people who write like that constantly).
