That's a really good point. But I think it's a function of any group over a certain size. At least, that's been the case at every forum / site I've belonged to or read that gets over a couple of thousand members. I don't know whether anyone else's experience bears this out, but mine seems to. It's the small town vs. big city effect.godix wrote:There is no org community. And really... I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. There are people here whom I think are interesting and that I'll never get to know because I don't go to the same chatrooms, or whatever. But I don't think I'm entitled to know everyone, either. These groups can interact if they have a reason to - MEPs can cross lines, for one thing - but we aren't all cooped up in a tiny incestuous group with no new blood, forced to listen to the same people in absolutely every thread. I've been in forums like that, too, and that sucks in its own way.
So. Yes, that is true, but I wouldn't say that's a unique problem of the org, or even a problem at all. Still, well said. I don't think that's brought up much.
