Quick Comments What now?

First, I'm posting on a forum at 4:30am, not leaving feedback on a vid.

Have you considered that maybe THEY posted that at 4:30am? We have members from all over the world, it could be any time of day or night for them. Also, they are "quick" comments, it's easy to make a typo when typing fast. Making a typo with one letter in ONE word is not that big of a deal, and does not make a person an idiot (especially considering the fact that the letter W is right next to the letter E on the keyboard). Obviously, they knew how to spell the word great since they remarked that you had "great quality".

To me, that seems like a good quick comment. It was quick, they said what they liked (GREAT edition and quality) and didn't like (the song), short, sweet and to the point. If this is your idea of 'idiocy', be glad. There are people who've gotten QC's that are much, much worse.

Not to mention english may not be their first language. I think they meant "Great editing" not "great edition". Could be a simple mistake or language barrier. Either way, it sounds like a compliment. The opinion system is made for detailed constructive critism. The quick comment system was made for just these kind of comments.

Quick Comments just give lamers an easy way to bash your work with 0 consequence. They hide happily behind anonymity...

Speaking as the source of roughly half the complaints listed in various QC threads I'd like to say the anonymity doesn't make a damned bit of difference. I gotta wonder where this prevailing belief that rude QC comments are caused because they're anonymous, I was doing the same shit well before my name was hidden.

BTW, I don't expect comments to fall in my lap. I can't very well go to Op exchange atm, because my fiance "fixed" my computer by formatting it... Then didn't install all the programs and codecs I needed. Right now, I don't have any sound whatsoever.

I can NOT give OPS. I have no sound. A quick comment, like "This song didnt go well with the scenes" or "that anime isn't good with a rap song" is much MUCH better and more helpful than, "song sux." Both of those are quick AND helpful.

Bottom line, you're expecting too much of people. So you want your comments to be helpful and constructive? HA. This is the internet. Whether or not the quick comments are anonymous or not, whether or not you can reply or not, even if it IS an op, and not a QC, you're just plain not going to be able to get people to continually give you constructive comments all the time.

BTW, if you peruse the opinion exchange section a little more extensively, you'll find that there are all kinds of free opinion threads running, perfect for someone in your situation. Meaning that, yes, Garylisk quoted your post with good reason.
