Ussually the editing is fine, and the ripping is not too bad. I just over place myself and never finish anything.
Image I stream and stuff o.o

I took one of my amv projects and moved it to the recycle bin.

I was more motivated when I was really depressed, now that I'm not even half as depressed as I used to be, I'm lacking in the hobby field. Strange...I know.

I sometimes am lucky enough to start some, but a quarter to half way through...I'm like... :| then trashes everything.

And I do have the inspiration and everything, maybe I'm getting impatient as well.

I've been dying to edit a new amv...but at the same time, don't want to take the time to rip the dvd, convert, actually edit, take the time to make it fit, ect... to make it short, I just want to release something, but have nothing edited, therefore, have nothing to release. Also can't edit due to school swamping my time.

Anyone feel like this? If so, what do you guys do to relieve this feeling or keep your mind off of it?
Well, for $3000 I'd like to do some "ghost-editing" for you! :P

But seriously, that's what directors do, they have an idea, let other people do the stuff and tada!

Well, it's not that simple as they have to manage the whole process, but they still don't have to edit!

In real life they have assistant-editors who do all that stuff for you. Maybe we should have "help wanted" section here so people can assist the real editing-lovers here! :P

I don't mind editing.
I don't mind doing all the post-editing work.

That's why my editing regimen consists of periods of intense editing followed by loooong interludes of idling. I never leave a project in the timeline for more than a month unless it's effects heavy.

Some people seem to have a surplus of ideas for AMVs. I don't. On the contrary, I'm always suffering from a scarcity of ideas. In other words, the rate limiting factor for me in releasing new videos isn't laziness ( ), but my lack of new ideas.
That's easy to fix. Come up with more complex ideas and raise your standards for what output is acceptable. Bonus points if you can multi-source it and you now need to spend weeks on finding and prepping the footage alone.

I go into the category of "hate preparing footage but loves editing"
Also I have the "my current computer is TEH SUCK!"-syndrome. Solution to this problem though is now waiting in the next room with its' four cores and full memory, waiting for the final install-hell and a case to put into =^_^=
