Nikolas you really should switch to AE. That's just fucking ridiculous.

More like something weird, 100 layers is a bit too much, even for such vid as Empty Motion (yes, I saw it).
Though everyone learns. Once I had a project with about 60 layers in Vegas. Today, I would've needed... ten at max?

I am planning to abandon Vegas for good, while making Empty Motion I found many and frustrating bugs... ( also i want to try something with depth )ExSphere wrote:Nikolas you really should switch to AE. That's just fucking ridiculous.
Maybe with AE, my projects would be more ridiculous... :S
But anyway managing this "hell" ^ was part of the fun
Nya-chan you are neglecting two thingsNya-chan Production wrote:More like something weird, 100 layers is a bit too much, even for such vid as Empty Motion (yes, I saw it).

1st Connecting 2 scenes (with 10 layers each) you need 20 layers in total. If you connect an other scene you would go to 30... etg
2nd Having many Video track types ( add, subtract, screen, multiply, difference, alpha even 3D) with different unique order in each scene, you would eventually end up placing more tracks... + with what i mentioned above... going to 100 layers is nothing strange.
"Empty motion" scenery is changing almost every 1 or 2 seconds, simply 10 video tracks are simply not enough... the credits alone was 17 different video tracks :p
To conclude, i mentioned something about reconstructing the project... you see while i was editing ( trying new things) some times i end up having +200 layers so i had to reconstruct the project to avoid Vegas slowing down... but anyway i am editing with unorthodox ways so its natural people doubting my projects

Nah, I am not doubting you, to everyone what s/he feels the best. I just think that there's still place that could be saved. I might be wrong, I haven't seen the project in detail, of course. And hell, if it fits you, go on ^^

I for one like the idea of each clip getting its own track.

That's how I like it to .... Then again, I only use one clip.

If you can actually edit productively with that many tracks then you are either realllyyyy good or completely mental. Or both.

A toradora project in the works.
I also have this Fate/Stay project also in the works:
And in case anybody is questioning my "dedication" to compiling project editor.
