My comp is six inches from my kitchen table, so don't feel that's a bad thing.
Ok, so my desk is also where I eat. Get over it. It was funny for five seconds.
But if you're much older than me and still making videos, all the more power to you.

You are a wise man. More power to you.oldwrench wrote:
I don't think enjoying anime at any age is dorky. I remember when you checked the tubes in the TV if it didn't work, when people wondered who this Elvis guy was, when radio was AM band, when all the stores closed on Sunday, when computers were huge things that only big buisness could afford. We have come a long way in half a century. I saw my first anime in my late 40's and made my first amv when I was 52. I hope to be watching them for my next half century.
You are amazing people living in an amazing age.

It's dorky only if we want it to be dorky, is what I say. As some people already said in the thread... after a certain age, you just don't care anymore about what others may think - and dorky IMHO is clearly more related to what others may think than to what a person really is. If one wants to make AMVs at 30, 40, 50 or more, power to them, at least they're having a fun hobby, instead of spending their time watching stupid TV shows all week-end long because they don't know what to do outside of work

Thanks a lot everyone. Your body may grow old but your mind is only as old as you want it to be. You never get to old to learn new things.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

I was working in a nursing home last week and there was gentleman who must have been in his late 70s editing , (well he was putting something together with a couple of VCRs) and while it wasn't making an AMV, it was something that he had been doing long ago.
I guess it's only dorky if your videos are.
