Or any of the videos that ignore the original story of the anime and make their own.
Still, though I know it's possibly, I think it's a little strange to like AMVs but not anime. One prime example I can think of is TheNanashi. He says he hates anime, he just likes to use some of it for artistic purposes.

Anyway, if anything - I got into AMV's through cons, not the reverse. And I got into the whole thing through liking anime. I think denying that would be quite dumb on anyone's part. I'm yet to see an AMVer who really doesn't like anime. I don't believe it to be possible, in fact...
