gypsy --> Mystery Conundrum is a great dance vid! I don't get the hand-holding image that keeps building throughout the vid, but overall, it's a great vid. Now, Mal on the other hand... I think I can use it, but I don't know WTH is going on - but it looks good, however...

Kalium --> okay, need to browse thru your vids...

Mr Panda & aielI_Ileia --> yeah, buma messed up, so sorry about that. I wondered why you didn't have the same production company name on your other vids!

jubjub2 & JudgeHolden --> JJ2 is right, Deep Like is great! Added!

inthesto - your bleach vid is very action-filled and may be a good addition - if I can figure out how to convert it to mpeg2...

TaranT - yup, I think that My Dog will be a hit too. Downloaded your Evolution Redux vid too and I find it very surprising that it's such a long song, but your editing doesn't make it feel as such!

Kalium - dispite the vid quality, I liked your Styx / OM Goddess vid, I think that this will also make a worthy addition.

thanks all - please, keep them coming!

Ur not supposed to know what's going on in MAL. We made it as just a fun / weird video. There's no sence to it whatsoever and no reason to be except that it was a fun project between friends.

Thanx.

Is there a website for this convention?

for the convention, yes www.kawaii-kon.org

for the event this post was originally made for? Yes as well --> www.jcch.com (look at the bottom of the page for New Years Ohana Festival)

We will have a Kawaii Kon booth at the Festival to promote our convention which is why we needed eyecatchy vids!

thanks everyone for their submittals! Keeso, yours are the last for consideration right now as I need to cut off the submittals and start putting the darn thing together! Right now, I have 3 categories they will fall into:

1. General loop - these will get the most airplay! As the festival is 6 hours long (10:00am to 4:00pm) and I will be creating a DVD that is at most 2-hours long, those in this category will get repeated at least twice, or maybe 3 times, depending on just how many AMV's I can get to fit on a single DVD.

2. 30-minute session #1 - this one will probably have 4 or 5 vids, depending on how much wil be padded by someone talking plus 5 minutes setup and break-down. This and the second session will be in a small theater setting. This first session will be more kid friendly, and no AMV's with questionable lyrics or images will be used at all here.

3. 30-minute session #2 - same as the first one, but this one is scheduled later in the day, so I'll try and aim this one at an older audience. So the more violent, or suggestive vids that were submitted will probably go here (as well as my own first video - got to have some benefits for putting this thing together :) )

So, once I finally decide on a playlist order and which vids will go in which sessions, I'll post them up!

I will post any reactions I see to the vids here next week, but as I doubt that I will be there for the whole time, I can't promise anyone anything right now.

Thanks all for your participation in festival - all who added to this posting and who has kept it going for these last week or so, I appreciate your enthusiasm for this project and for making my job a hell of a lot easier!

Okay folks, sorry for the long reply, but I kept forgetting to send the list to work so I could post it there, and tonight was the first night I had a chance at home :)

So, without further adieu, here's the list for the General Loop
Vlad - orange five o
tono fyr - have I found a way
mj - service with a smile
lilgumba - mega panic
godix - ghibli around the world
absolute destiny - do it right
vlad - the look <-- although I thought it was okay, the table-sitters thought the brief fan service wasn't 'family friendly' so I think that this got skipped after the first few times; sorry
tarantella - my dog <-- all the staffers loved this one!
jubjub2 - i'm too sesshy <-- made all the fan girls squeal with delight
ilikea - rock your body

kusoyaro - run
neithysk - infected seed <--this was a last minute addition, but I'm very glad I put it in as it did attract a lot of attention
judge holden - Sakaki and the cat
scintilla - evabop <-- oohs and ahhs on this one!
castor troy - die another day
jcd - eurofire
michele - ketsui <-- one staffer couldn't watch because she hadn't was afraid of spoilers :)
mj - queres pescado <-- lot of WTF looks at this one, but I still loved it
doki doki - harder better faster stronger <-- staffer was impressed with all the episode clips with this one
godix - lets go shopping
aaron - mononoke <-- must be something I missed as this one was also skipped after the first few showings. I figured "hey, it's Mononoke Hime, everone has seen this already" but I guess more conservative heads were in charge
dk - furikurish
darci-san - greed vs envy
decoy - scryed
dk - legend of pretear
gypsy - mal <-- another skipper, seems that cutting of arms off were not 'family friendly' either, but it goes by so fast, who the hell would have noticed?
infinity squared - dedication beyond the clouds
gypsy - mystery conundrum
kalium - baby, forever
moonlight soldier - a midwinter night <-- no one said anything about the 'boobage' in this, so WTF was the big deal with the others? I guess they don't consider SM as being offensive.
ojamajo limepie - majostar
ojamajo limepie - ateliersakura
tarantella - evolution redux
warheart - artificial imagery
moonlight soldier - mood rings <-- my personal favorite of the general loop!
dwp - heven is falling <-- second favorite, I don't know why they ended up back to back.
jubjub2 - somewhere over the rainbow
session 1 playlist
castor troy - naruto ball z <-- got a lot of oohs and ahhs, from the staff and the audience!
hinano - motto ikuze
judge holden - deeplike <-- thank JJ2 and Jadd for this inclusion! It was from their recommendation that it was included. Although there was some comment from the director for the 'suicide' scene, nothing bad happened on screen (just a lot of implication) so it was okay
koopiskiva - euphoria <-- requested by the con director, so included here
scintilla - wakalaka (for osaka) <-- lots of laughs and OMGWTF but overall a great closer for the first session!
session 2 playlist
dokidoki - right now someone is reading this title <-- highly underated video IMHO, loved it and it was a great opener
lilgumba - fate <-- I don't know what happened, but it seemed like the audience got lost on this one a bit (or I lost the audience, don't know which). I really enjoyed seeing this vid in the show
aieli ileia - half naked cowgirls and giant robots (the remake) <-- this just looked awesome on the screen! I kinda got surprised by hearing the word 'dick' so damn loud in it, however, and it got me kinda worried.
buma - DGDI1&0? <-- shameless promotion backfired on me because of the 'graphic' scenes in it. I figured that since I got it entered in other 'family oriented' cons, this one would be the same, but as there were a lot smaller children than I expected, I guess I sort of deserved what I got. Still, it looked very awesome on the screen
chameleon d h - shinji's odyssey <-- awesome closer, even an older gentlemen was singing the tune when he was walking out!
and thats it! Thanks so much everyone for your participation on this! It was fun to get these all together (although I did sort of loose a lot of sleep over it the last few nights before the event). We handed out a lot of flyers that day for Kawaii Kon 2006 and had a lot of fun! I, and the fellow staffers of K2-2006 want to thank you all for this great day of promotion for our local convention!
