I've never really had an awkward situation when it comes to AMVs. I've had people come up to me after a convention and tell me how much they liked my AMVs but that’s more flattering than embarrassing/awkward.

I haven't had much odd experiences then just general admiration by people who were like, YOU MADE THAT???

But my old roomate thought I was god and would play some of my videos over and over again... I mean, I enjoy the complemnet, but after having heard the songs a few thousand times while making the videos, I'd rather not hear them on loop again... ^^()

For some reason, when I was in high school, a lot of people viewed my AMVs. 0_o

But it was only the AMVs with "Popular" content. Like my kh2 and Kenshins AMVs.

So one day, I'm walking down the hall to go to class, and I pass these people who are talking about a "Bodies hit the floor" AMV and how it was kind of funny there was a cat infront of a computer screen as the bumper(People laughed at me when I won best drama at AWA last year for that bumper. ;_; )
And I was like. "Hey, wait a second."
I stop, turn around, say "You mean the kh2 video to 'bodies' by drowning pool?" They say they think so.
"You mean the one by SQ?"
They think so.
"ANIMETRIC PRODUCTIONS SQ?"
Yeah, they think that's it.

"That's me!"

They stare at me in some sort fo disbelief and are like. "Dude.. You are like.. The king of AMVs!"

Ever since that encounter I got one or two "Yeah, that was made by SQ, she's over there" comments. Had one guy shake my hand and want an autograph. o_o;

It's funny because the "Let the Bodies hit the floor" AMV is one of the worst AMVs I've ever made...

... It's on Youtube now...

I know that as soon as I start talking to Yaoi fangirls, if they have seen any AMVs, they have seen mine. It's amusing to see their reactions when they find out I made Suichi's Question or CSS. The only really embarsing situation was at one convention a girl learned I made Suichi's Question and she totally got all fangirlly on me was bowing and everything, was rather creepy.

I've just found that despite the number of awards I've won, years I've been editing, number and variety of videos I've made and sent to conventions and yet I'm not well known. It's a game to look at someone and guess which of my videos they have seen.

Don't worry about it anneke, the only reason people know me is because I'm on the forums. I mean, how many of you have actually seen any of my AMVs? No one?

I figured. XD

I sat with Quu, dwchang, Koop, and some impersonaters with 'wrong' nicknames on their name tags at ACEN once. I definitely felt 'out of place'... Here I am, digisub user for the most part, sitting with the big people...

Inferiority complex? Maybe... But at any rate, it was definitely fun talking about what vids to like and dw said my Stay (Airscape) mix vid would rock if there was a fun category since it didn't exactly fit anything there...

Yep that's me...

Can't wait to see people asking for my autograph...

Uh...can't say I've seen any of your videos. Some sounded familuar. (Shrugs) Then I never have time to watch AMVs but at conventions, and don't download much from here.

It's always awkward to explain what I do to the "uninitiated". Honestly, it feels terrible, since at first the very idea of AMVing sounds very retarded to people who have no interest in anime at least.

Worse still, being confronted about it by my parents. I'm not a dependent of theirs anymore, fortunately, but it's still awfully stupid being told that "if I keep making this crap I'll get arrested" or, the next day, "I should try to make money off them by selling them to people"

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
