^_^

You know, it's that exact problem that made me stop doing op exchanges. If you decide you honestly don't care, you can have the freedom to do what you like, even if you don't get that 'great' reaction each time. Let's face it, if you're not doing vids geared at the general public, you have to be excellent if you want people to stop judging you and comparing each vid to whichever one they thought was 'worthy.' I've been putting stories off for nearly a month now, trying to catch whatever it is that people want to see. And the moment I touched the edge of that I realized, I don't care. I was making myself miserable worrying about the critics - even the helpful ones. I just wanted to make amvs that I'd enjoy watching.

I didn't think you'd be so worried about other people's opinions. ^_^; Just make what you like. Invite the people you think might enjoy the vid to watch - and ingore the rest. When the only feedback you get is 'scrap the vid' or 'not as good as *this* because you didn't make the vid for me' then it's about time to reset exactly who the vid was done for - the creator, and those people who share the same interests. If you want to improve your general skills, get all the feedback you can and learn from it. If you just want to make vids, the critics don't matter.

See thats where I dissagree, I think the critics DO matter, I mean.

If you make a movie but no one see's it but you, who does it make happy?
I guess it's the age old arguement, are you above yourself?

To me it makes me happy when other people like my videos, it's makes me a bit upset when they dont, But thats just life ya know?

This whole thread is pathetic. The fact that you think you have the audacity to bring it to everyone's attention the many 'flaws' of this person's video. What right have you? None.

Yeah, let's all make the same kind of video. Let's all just put up our videos to become number one. Let's all try to make the best video. Critics are fine, whatever. But I think most people have lost the meaning of all this in the first place. And other people take all the fun out of it. Man, if I were to do something like this it'd be branded some sort of 'trolling' of mine.

What the fuck are you talking about?

True everyone has a diffrent opinion, but most people dont stop to think, that sometimes people have fun being number 1, if it makes them happy to win, then damnit, let him. I'm not stoping anyone from trying, Infact I gotta admit I'd like to see people get alot of enjoy ment outta my videos.

You're crazy. I think people like critasiem, I know I do when it comes to my videos, I like to know whats wrong with them, so that next time I can improve.

And maybe one day. Become really good so people like my videos and get a smile when they watch them.

This thread sucks giant donkey schlong.

Someone has a brain/kazaa fart and mistakes the name of a song? Email them so they can change it. Someone makes a shitty video and you don't like it? Turn it off and delete it. Oh you don't like people citicizing your videos? Grow a thicker skin and get the fuck over yourself. Can't do these things? Get the fuck out, this place ain't for you.

The word is criticism. I like it too. I like it if someone says, "YOUR VID SUCKS BECAUSE (blah blah blah) BUT!!! It'd be better if you (blah blah blah)" [yes exaggerated but you get the idea]

Nobody likes the "your vid sux0rs. [and nothing more written]" Criticism is good if it's constructive. I'm no longer in fear of the "vengeance" review cause I always try my hardest to point out what I didn't like and what I think could be fixed. [though what I say is just a suggestion, never a 'command'] The people who recieve vengeance reviews I believe deserve utmost respect since:

a: their vids are VERY FREAKIN' GOOD and only the best vids recieve the "shithead" reviews
b: this person worked his/her butt off and usually won't let idiots slow them down

I also liked the last thing you said. You want people to smile when they see your vids. I think the same way ^_^

I disagree -- I think everyone has that freedom, regardless of whatever they've done. If you're receiving extremely negative feedback from someone, with little or nothing in the way of suggestions you can use to improve, I believe that you have every right to tell that someone to bugger off and go drown themselves in a pool filled with sharks with head-mounted lasers. People like that aren't the kind of people you want feedback from, anyway.

I dunno about that, I think people have the freedom to do whatever they want. Alot of times, it is the experimental stuff that people will dig the most.
