now im getting amped, all this talk about my fav genre of metal. Id love to start this amv asap (when i get a new cpu should be a few weeks) mmm ill brainstorm untill then see what comes up. If anyone has any ideas there all welcome to give some input into it.Warheart wrote:Anal Cunt is Grindcore isn´t it ? Just like Napalm Death.Tsunami Jones wrote:Anal Cunt is death metal?
But anyways, I don't think anyone will ever make an amv to the full version of Think as a Brick by Jethro Tull.
There are so much grind(g)core bands that will never be used because the content of their music is a (little) bit to disturbing, just like the sound itself.

I can't think of any names right now, but I'm sure there are plenty of animes which could provide footage for those songs. Hell, a Venom AMV is a great idea! Someone make one for Women, Leather & HellUndertow wrote:But while on the subject, i don't think anyone here would use any Venom songs like: In Nomine Satanas, War Against Christ, In league with Satan or Sons of Satan.
Actually, that's one I can't see happening - At War With Satan. 20 minutes.
Strormtroopers Of Death is a great idea also
AAAAAARGH I'm definately going to have to start making AMVs someday

Lets see
Well, what makes for a bad AMV song? Anything too horrible would be doable, just for the shock value. You'd need somthing that both has a really weak beat and a subject that couldn't be played off of. For example;
Bicycle - by Queen would be hard. How many bicycle clips are there out there?
Air - from the musical Hair. This is possible, but people tend to avoid the really slow songs.
"california wants to be western new york"
The Blessings - Dar Williams. Dar williams actually has a ton of songs which would be hard to do. If anyone could do somthing to Dar Williams 'this was Pompeii' I would be most amazed. the song is just too slow.
Here's a link to her songs with lyrics;

Other difficult Dar Williams songs to make into an AMV (that I actually think are decent) would be;
The Christians and the Pagans
and
As Cool as I Am
I think "hello Mary Lou" might be just too flat and boring to do much with that was interesting.
Paul Simon's "diamons on the souls of her shoes" would be a challenge.
"New York Girls" by Gaelic Storm would be cool, but it would be difficult. The song is a narrative, so you'd have to match things pretty closely or it wouldn't work.

Gah. That's what I get for posting right after waking up. And yeah, we should probably never say never, because sooner or later, someone will probably make a vid to these songs.AbsoluteDestiny wrote:I presume you mean "Thick" as a brick.Tsunami Jones wrote:But anyways, I don't think anyone will ever make an amv to the full version of Think as a Brick by Jethro Tull.
In any case, as this thread has basically proven, you should never say never because there's always someone nuts enough (or dumb enough) to do it.
