haha, man i have read like 40 of yer posts tonight... each is more insaine and more blunt then the last.godix wrote:Actually either one of those is easy. The politican is thinking 'Gee I hope I can pile on enough crap that these morons like me' and the meaning behind most AMVs is 'Gee I hope I can pile on enough crap that these morons like me'. Only difference is AMVs don't raise your taxes if you got tricked into choosing it.
Truely though, splashing paint on an amv isnt for me, when i get ideas i spend time on them and not like the guys who spend 5-8 months to a year just so some ass can watch it and say "wow... that was a nice waiste of your year", but i havent ever cared if they like me... im a rash unresonably explosive jerk, trying to like me is like trying to hump the thorns off a cactus... in the end who really lost what?
if people want to paint their amv, splash that shit.. but ya wont find me druleing on you unless there is TONS of story defined, otherwise its just another "adobe~ dur du dur ~look what i can do" amv.
Because you are good at amv's dosent meen you can't get yer arse kicked.

Hey everyone..
Yes..it's an AMV noob here..but..!
I've been reading what most people posted here, and I'm gonna put my input as well..!
Definition of AMV is simply Anime made into a Music Video, period.
No arguments there.
You guys all make great points, but..you guys seem to miss the big picture.
Art is subjective.
Art is personal.
What you should be asking is 'Why did I join here in the first place'?
Everyone's answer is unique in its own way, but share some similar points.
1. We ALL like anime here, be it of great or little interest.
2. We LOVE the music!
3. We can't draw stunning anime or CGs.
4. We can't compose beautiful music alone.
And most importantly..and particularly true in my case,
5. We LOVE how the AMVs express or *key words* BRING OUT the soul of the a)music b)anime c)moment d)AMV artist's emotions e)techniques f)whatever.
Frankly, I truly believe when someone mentioned that with any masterpiece,
it needs to bring out the emotions of the audience.
For me, as long as you introduce me to a new song that I find catchy and that you present it, technically and creatively, well, you get an A from me.
You can use animes and special effects to bring out the lubs and dubs of the song.
Or you can use the song to bring out the life and soul of the anime.
Frankly..IT DOESN'T MATTER!
So..Why did I come here?
Let me ask you..what is the REAL purpose of a REAL music video?
To PRESENT the music CD in the MOST APPEALING MANNER!
And that is exactly why I'm here ^^
I want to be entertained with an appealing presentation of music that you guys and girls LOVE soooo much!
And if I'm interested enough, I might even consider sharing some of what I consider to be awesome songs as well ^^!

and i know thats a few pages back but this is something i just cant walk away from....Minion wrote:strange hearing an american rip on another culture? isn't that how it's always been? i think we rip on other cultures more than anyone
WE HAVE NO CULTURE.... thats why we can't rip on our own.... and anything you would concider culture is something we stole from elsewhere.
