If the video is the one that focuses on Asuka, then you're looking at Kevin Caldwell's "Engel". It's listed in the Proxy (an ORG account for videos with missing owners or owners that haven't signed up on the ORG but we still like their videos anyways ).hyuuga-hinata wrote:It was one with Evangelion on the Rammstein music : Engel
I haven't seen it on this site, but it is one of the best I've ever seen.
Look for it in the Search Vids section under Super Search, and "Kevin Caldwell" under Title. Title, not Author..

first AMV's
ooh, how nostalgic is everybody
The first AMV i saw/downloaded was "Think" by Luke Morgan.
It was pap, and so were subsequent DBZ ones. except Particle Man, which is funny. I had been into anime for years but did not have a computer, but i was living with a mate who did and despite the technical limitations at the time we became part of the AMV scene, which was pretty miniscule in Brtain at the time (anime wasn't even that popular! )
But we were always trying to compete on an international scale, hoping to produce something as good as DragonMaster Cale or Doki Doki productions.
. . . and maybe we have.
Nice to hear everybody else 1st AMV experience, tho!

Aside from all the Linkin Ball Z vids, the first I saw was two that really stand out in my brain: One was called faces of death ,and it was set to Korn's dead bodies every where. (awesome and stunning) and Golden boy set to Faith. I also remember "I will become the thing I hate " set to street fighter alpha. Those were the ones that got me hooked on watching AMV's, my mentor Preacher3380x got me into making AMV's with his Ghost in the Shell AMV. (*for the last time, I didn't copy, so stop singing that 311 song, come original!*)
The end.
The end.

The first AMV I wanted was this purple haired girl getting raped by monsters with no music.
Oh wait my bad that was something else.

So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Not sure which one you are saying you haven't manged to hunt up, but I would really dig getting a hold of that Dirty Pair video as well. I saw it back in 1992 or 93 (I think) and it STILL haunts me today.Maradydd wrote:At some teeny little sci-fi convention I went to in Houston in 1994, in the anime room they showed AMVs as filler between movies. The first one I saw was Dirty Pair to "Girls with Guns" by Tommy Shaw; I want to say it was by C-ko, but I might very well be wrong. It was obviously done via the 2VCR method, the footage quality was miserable, and I loved every second of it.
Sadly, it's not in the database here, nor have I managed to hunt it up elsewhere online. No, it's not high art, but it's definitely a classic.
Does ANYONE have any leads on this AMV?
