Ok, lets try it this way then. What makes an AMV bad?

I don't like videos that flow like a bad interpretive dance (or at least I don't like them near as much). Unfortunately, I seem to be the only one that feels so strongly against them. Take this example and see if you understand what I mean:
these lyrics come from Papa Roach's song Scars using Trigun footage. I figure people will do exactly this:
"My scars remind me,"
Show Vash standing there revealing his many scars from various fights
"that the past is real"
Show the aftermath of the firing of Vash's angel-arm gun thingy.
Why does that bug me so much? Both scenes fit the lyrics perfectly, right? The problem is the scenes don't mesh together at all. There is no transition, no attempt to show that perhaps the scars came from that, or the scars have anything to do with that at all! In order to better illustrate my point, I'll link this video, both because I have the express consent of the creator to do so, and because I feel that his video does this a bit.
Brolly345's video Wasted Years
This isn't to say that I absolutely hate the video because of it, but if it does it enough I will.

Using a song in which the artist goes into a long philosophical exposition on profesionalisim, self improvement, and the meaning of life.
...and bannanas.
wink.

I hated that vid, but it was funny as well.Katsumi_AMVs wrote:Now ... tell me why this vidit's in your favorite vids list
I can't find in your post a hint that you're trying to be sarcastic or ironic... wait ! Fanservide it's not considered sexay ??
sexay is wrong (in spelling) and bad. There should be a new, stronger word for it like ...badong.

Video's can't be bad if they have lots of effects. If you don't like them, that means you suck.MomochiZabuza wrote:mmmmm? what are you implying?Pyle wrote:Die. Right now. I'm serious.MomochiZabuza wrote:scenes and effects that arent needed
(yeah took me a while to respond but... you know things come up)
