Where will AMVs be in 5 years? In a ditch on the side of some road, unwanted and unloved, drinking itself to death, one shot of Clorox at a time.

Excuse me, but I am still drinking Colt 45. I have not yet made it to the Clorox.Castor Troy wrote:Isn't that where they are now?The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:Where will AMVs be in 5 years? hmm 5 years....
if I'm not dead by then, I predict the following
- the new after effects will be so good it will supersede all editing software. it will do everything, even make you toast.
- some subpar, average editor will get killed in some accident and thus all of their videos will become legendary on attention alone.

Re: Re:
There seems to be a problem with some of the MPEG-1 readouts, though. Some of my VCD-compatible encodes display this instead of the info:derobert wrote:It's not even a month later, and you're already wrongQyot27 wrote:The video info readouts for the earliest videos on Local (why can't remember the other server's name?) still won't be fixed.
Code: Select all
mpgtx: AT EOF - please stop me!
mmm, this file does not start with a pack, offset: -2
use the desperate_mode switch as the first option -X to search for a header in the whole file!
if you want to force the operation. May yield to an endless loop if no valid header is found!
Does not even begin with a 00 00 01 xx sequence!
No success at all.
/data/videos/vids/9/29/42329/13000/Qyot27 - Gee Angel.mpg is not a valid mpeg file
It is nice to see that MP4 and MKV files finally have their info available too. I suppose that the format detection for those still needs to be completely hammered out (or at least for MKV, considering that the audio streams are getting read as UNKNOWN)?
My profile on MyAnimeList | Quasistatic Regret: yeah, yeah, I finally got a blog

Reading back...
Maybe there are even more examples, but I can't recall them as of now.
...didn't this happen already? With Interstella 5555, for example. And I think there was an anime-looking music vid of britney spears too... >_>"Alex-ok wrote:-An amv will be the official video to an artist's music video

But aren't both of those made up from the artist?
Im saying....
eg. "Cowboy Bebop: The series, was used for the song Put On (gay) by Young Jeezy!!"
Interstella5555 is a movie based on often 'animated' group =|
Britney had people turn her into some anime like bitch...there's a difference!
lol
(Did I make sense?)
