i think the hype around it probably didn't help when i first watched it, being no. 1 in the .org's database by op scores is quite a title and i guess i expected a lot more from it.
I have nothing against effects vids (Shounen Bushido and Olin are both among my favourites), it's just that in Euphoria they weren't an integral part of the concept, they just helped koop with beat sync as far as i can tell and he went too far in my opinion.
And maybe you're right about the whole "I'll never learn this shit," thing, but to be honest, i don't care, i'd rather enjoy a laid back editing session where i get to do whatever the hell i want, rather than having to read through arduous pages of step-by-step instructions on how to do an effect i don't even like, much less want to use, and that probably wont add to the value of the vid in my eyes anyway, for me a vid should be about the concept or the sync, not the effects.
In my eyes that's where Koop went wrong with Euphoria, and i'm sure many other people have and will continue to, Euphoria is just a good example because eveyone knows what you're talking about.
