Actually, more like 40...

Anyway, why they hell would anyone give up something they enjoy as a hobby regarless of age! Hobbies can be enjoyed at any age!

What's really sad is that people seem to think that they must give up things as they get older as they are only for the young to enjoy  ... That's a bunch of bull and gives way to the saying "grump old people"!

Age is both a physical and mental thing and if you act and believe your too old, them you ARE old

Vlad
I agree 100%!!! People that feel age is some sort of marking point in life that judge what they can or can't do are making a huge mistake and letting society dictate their lives IMO.

Some people may become bored of something and move on. That's fine. However, if someone truly enjoys a hobby, who cares what age you are? I'm involved in several other hobbies (i.e. road course driving events) that encompass a vast age group ~18-60 year olds). No one is too old there. I don't see any difference here either.

I dont think making AMVs isnt dorky at any age. I mean look i'm 17...thats only a year before i become a man, and i plan to make videos until I'm dead. Heh, theres people in their 40's and 50's that are making music videos and do they think its dorky and strange? I think not. Thats my 0.02 (00.2 = My two cents).

For me, I think it's probably dorky at any age, but I've never cared about stuff like that.

It's not like you turn a certain age, and a little crystal in your chest changes color; forcing you to play a game of floating dodgeball and then you turn dorky, run away and fight the Zardoz.

No, I think that Dork-dom has become the hip new thing. (That, and expensive shoes with matching cellphones.) Lets face it, if the technology existed earlier, then the older AMVers would have started younger.

Amv making is a pretty silly hobby if you really think about it, therefore you should just enjoy it for what it is. Hey, I might be surprised if I saw my grandmother watching (and liking) Naruto, but that wouldn't make me try to stop her.

I'm 26... turn 27 this summer but damn.. I have no plans to stop... its a creativity and enjoyability thing... I don't give a damn about what people think is dorky... heh if nothing else this has actually opened career doors for me.... so I'd say to anyone don't give up because of age.
