Good point in that, but usually if it's an anime I don't like I don't watch the vid though. I don't go around looking for Evangelion vids since I don't like the show, so even if the vid was orgasmic was to most, I wouldn't think of it as bad nor good, just 3/5 since Eva doesn't strike me. But that's just me. But when I do watch anime I like in vids to crappy songs I just leave "Didn't like the song" in the opinion, but I don't take off points, I just mention it.Knowname wrote:Because I might like it. Not all AMVs have to be at ALL like the anime used. Like spoofs or trailors and so on. You just never really know. Plus the only reason why I hate the FUCK out of Hellsing or Chrno Crusade is because of the IDIOTIC presentation of the anime, most of the time ppl blow this off as 'the Manga is MUCH better' in the same respect many Hellsing or CC AMVs are very good. Don't assume that petty ideas come out of petty anime, petty ANIME comes out of petty IDEAS, on the other hand I'm sure you came across an anime you DID like, a song you DID like, but the AMV just sucked ASS. Just don't assume it'll be good or bad till you watch it. In fact, just don't ASS-u-me at all.Cornwiggle wrote:what I wonder is if they hate the anime or the song why do they go and download it?
What kind of comments do you hate the most?

I just d/l new stuff sometimes, I don't even look at what anime is used until after or until I, of coarse, recognize it. I can see your point though, we all have our opinions, when doing a quick search for a certain idea or something I might skip over songs/ anime I don't like to get to ones I do. However that kind of question 'why even d/l it if you don't like the anime' just strikes me as being rather disrespectfull of MY opinions. I dunno maybe it's just me being too touchy, but as I said comeing into this thread I take most of my experiences from REMARKS to comments I made, not vica versa, so, as is often the case with me, we ARE approaching this from different angles.

Didn't mean offense by anything. I myself just like to have a personal connection with AMVs and so I choose to watch anime I like in them because I want to be close. I feel like checking out a vid with an anime I know nothing about would not have the effect it's supposed to have or one I don't like.Knowname wrote:I just d/l new stuff sometimes, I don't even look at what anime is used until after or until I, of coarse, recognize it. Ah well this one I got. I loved the comment because it made some good points while obviously some were without the understanding of what editing straints I'm currently in. However this part I don't agree with.
Though I understand that a beat synch might seem more notable not all songs can accomplish a beat synch. Some times the beats are either to frequent or not enough to accomplish the type of video you want.Clips seemed to be matched more lyrically than on the beat, and while both can be good ways of synching, there should always be some degree of beat sync.

So? That's what I do on every video I makeRev. Takahashi Fan wrote:an example of this would be a AMV done to Speed Metal. To beat synch in speed metal you really need to edit the clips frame for frame

i never said that though it can be assumed i was lumping that into the rude part of the comment... if you want to assume that anyways... O.oMelanchthon wrote:but if "incorrect aspect ratio" is considered rude and insulting now...

though sometimes "aspect ratio" comments sometimes tick me off (personally) cause I KNOW my aspect ratio is off, I'm still trying to learn how to fix that.. and just when i think i learned how to fix it something goes wrong.. and someone points out its messed up again o:< then im sick of working on the vid so i upload it anyways O.o
but thats just a small pet peeve of mine...
though someone once sent me a this comment:
none of my videos have subtitles, especially since I cut them all out after getting sick of people telling me to cut them.quick comment wrote:# 2006-03-28 16:47:17 good, but subtitles
so I wasnt sure to be annoied or ammused or if someone left it to me on accident O.o This video never had subs ever, or at any time though O.o
