Anime Just sucks and people don't know what to do

I think I might have the answer to this problem. People are now forgetting and are getting totally insecure as hell on what makes a good video anymore. So thus they turn to AE or ect. to make eye candy to only coshur this insecurity.

Honestly I'd Like effects, if it helps my amv some. But Why do I gotta waist 8 months of my life to make a god damn 3 min video just so someone could give me a quick comment on how I should've done it "right".

This is why I don't like the term "Beta-Testing". Who the fuck thought of this Hard Cold Lump of Gerbil Shit. Why do we gotta wait for the approval of a group of people who you selectively choose to see your video. You should be able to point out your own mistakes better than anyone (Which is why sometimes we don't like our own videos).

Say 2 people watch your video and you just got done fixing the error on the time Index of 6:66(OMG'DESS ANTI-JEBUS) and when the other person sees this "fixed" problem on 6:66, He or She would tell you that they did not like the fixed part on 6:66. Before you know you get fustrated and almost wanna cry over what makes an amv anymore.

Listening to other people's criticisms and constructive Feed back only reminds me that I am only making their amv and not MINE!

On with the Effects Whores.

These people are the monkeys with the grenades, They have no idea how to use it until it blows up right in their faces.

Then again their are 2 people I say about effect whores. Effect Whore 1, who likes to use effects to paint their stories in a more visual way but still keep the anime and the song relating. Then Effect Whore 2, This person can be smarter than Effect Whore 1, but rather spend this hard cold 8 months on a 3 min. video just so you can get the random quick comment from a pedophile from Whit'chita, Kansas how he was gonna rump and bump you, AND MAYBE IF YOUR LUCKY, you would get an op from someone who liked your video...for as long as the song lasted.

"Wow...8 months spent on a 3 min amv. Just to entertain a boy for 3 min of his life and yet I have made an Impact."

All this just so they could be the #1 video on the org for 5 hours till someone posts and idea of voting down a video.

A friend of mine reached #1..FOR A DAY! The people only did say hurtful shit to him. Just pressing down 1 buttons and only comments that would say..

It isn't better than Euphoria

But yea anyways 3/5 for the rant Beowulf. The 2 points costed ya for considering amvs an art. What we make here isn't Art but just Abominations.

I just read through the first few pages of this amazing thread...

My conclusion?

You people think a LITTLE too hard regarding something that's a hobby.

"We eat what we like..."

Now this is just my opinion as one who's life and easy distractions have all but yanked me into retirement for amv editing [the fact that I find it tedious and annoying doesn't help it at all either]

AMVs are a hobby. Not a job. We can't legally get paid for something like this [unless it's by request and someone who owns both music and footage gets a hold of you: fat chance*]

It reminds me of the degeneration thread I made. But at the end of it all amvs will still be made by people [much like myself I'm afraid] who've been inspired to step up and join the editors to replace the old ones who've left their mark on amv society.

My marks are rather lack-luster. I make dance amvs, drama amvs, and uh, Dramatic-Dance amvs... 0_0 but no matter how many sucky amvs come out, I'M ALWAYS looking forward to those few who can break the boundaries of the suck and create something that just causes the AWE...

[Note Dansu, best dance AND best first amv. I like where the future may be going]

That and the audio rant was quite amusing

I've started to notice al of Azumanga Daio (hope I spelled that right) AMVs. Is Asumanga the new Dragonball Z for AMVs?

I consider it the new Eva. There's a shitload of videos to it but a fair number of them are interesting and creative.

Now Bleach and Naruto are the new DBZ. There's shitloads of videos to them and if you really looked you might be able to find one that is worth watching, although odds are you probably wouldn't.
