You prefer effects vids over oldschool type vids? cause you won't pay attention to anything that doesn't have PRETTY COLORS

Just for you then.

Maybe it's because you have a join date of September 2008? Give it some time.

Nah, that's his new account. He had another one, but he made a new one, instead of just getting the name changed. :|

Now that I posted, I suppose I should say how the org changed me...

It made me technical, if that makes sense.

I'm sure that's a very comforting assumption to you, but in many cases what it actually means is that the person has no interest in becoming good at making effect videos to begin with. And/or we simply entered the AMV scene during the old-school era and can still appreciate those videos even though styles have changed. Or it may simply mean that we don't need a Ritalin / Tenex cocktail to start our morning.

Arigatomina wrote: You actually enjoy your crap vids? Then you have bad taste and should keep it to yourself.
It's funny that you would make that statement right after the previous one, since it applies to effect-whores way more than anyone else.

Arigatomina wrote:It turned me into an asshole. I'm a little bitter.... I'm more cynical about...

I think I would have stayed nice and naive if I'd stayed off the forum. Now it's too late to go back.
You can still be nice while not being naive, it just takes more effort and a certain maturity which your new found cynicism hasn't granted you. What you've demonstrated is that becoming more cynical doesn't always mean that you've become more wise. It's not too late to go back either, but being an asshole is a lot easier I suppose.

Sarcasm.
Look it up.

I'm the one who prefers oldschool over effects and actually likes her own crap vids. So according to the org, it's because I'm no good myself and should keep it to myself. The point was my immediate reaction - like that of a well-beaten child (that's sarcasm again, not support of child abuse) - is to repeat what I've been told.

See, now, I just totally ruined the joke for you.
I guess I still am a little too nice. Ya think?
