Editing Comforts
So basically, I'm just curious as to what kind of environment you guys tend to enjoy being in while you edit. What type of comforts you need to edit well and enjoy doing it and such.
I know that for me if I want to edit, I need to be in a comfortable chair in a relatively upright position. A good pair of headphones tends to help, and I prefer it to be quiet. I've also noticed that I tend to enjoy editing much more at night, during the day I just don't seem to have the drive for it. Of course, knowing me, I tend to enjoy doing it more under the influence of some sort of substance, but this is not a must have. What is a must have, is a cold tasty beverage, and a pack of cigarettes. Having snackage nearby isn't a bad idea either. I've also noticed that sometimes I really enjoy skyping with people while we're both editing. Hearing the other person talk about their progress or rant about a cut they're having trouble with and so on and so fourth tends to motivate me to work a little harder. While other times I prefer to be completely alone and in solitude while I edit.
So those are just a couple of things for me, how about you guys?

Well for me I really like blasting my speakers doing the day while I'm editing until not fall then I turn them down. A few cigarettes maybe a Black & Mild. A cold glass of kool-aid and I'm good

Am I the baddest mofo low down around this town? Sho'nuff!

A blowjob. I don't get much editing done this way, but man does it make for an enjoyable environment.

Re: Editing Comforts
When I edit I smoke ALOT. I don't even realize I'm doing it. For instance I spent the night editing and went through almost a whole pack, non editing days I do about a pack every other day if not less. I seem to edit much better when I'm tired, I guess that's because when I have energy I don't want to be glued to a computer screen. I have a decent speaker setup which isn't even plugged in because I use wireless headphones. I usually always have water near by. I can't sit at a computer normally, this isn't just for editing this is always, I sit with the computer to my right and turn towards it with the keyboard in my lap. Other than that I've gotten so ridiculously spoiled by my dual monitors and having my preview window full screen on the second one I can't even attempt to edit with the small window when using a single.

Re: Editing Comforts
I usually only edit after I see a great anime show. Or I am inspired by something.....as for the things around me....I need it to be quiet. I usually have a bottle of water o.o My IMs are usually off but I have IRC up....I tell other people in the house to not bother me. I like editing in the dark or with the lights dimmed....can't edit when it is too hot. I think that is about it....

Re: Editing Comforts
I'll usually edit something when I'm inspired by whatever in life or I happen to find an anime that I really want to edit to. Since all of my stuff hasn't been moved in yet, I don't have my comfy chair and my desk yet ;-;. Most of the time, I have something to drink, some snackage, and my headphones. I prefer to edit when it's quiet and I keep things like IM and IRC off since I get distracted easily.

Re: Editing Comforts
I like the night times, I feel more productive if I'm up all night working on something than if I'm up all day working on something. Headphones are good considering my "editing computer" doesn't have speakers O.O I leave my snacks down stairs so when I need a break I have to get up and move, however something to drink is always good to have on hand.
