Any suggested animes to this song?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzkqH8Q1 ... ideo_title
Preferably an anime with someone (preferably male) dying... And lots of scenes with memories of him and his family member(s). My grandfather has recently passed away, so I just want to put my emotions into it...
Thanking you.

Tenge Toppa Gurren-Lagann and Angel Beats.
Ef- a Tale of Melodies could work. Kuze, Shuuichi doesn't technically die but he is dying throughout the entire series and Ef works really well with emotional videos.

Ef doesn't really have the kind of scenes I'm looking for, nor does it have anything to do with someone losing a family member to death. Angel Beats doesn't have flash backs of happy memories shared with a family member either, not that I remember of... Thank you for the suggestions though. I'll look into the other ones you've mentioned and see if it has what I'm looking for.Zanzaben wrote:Tenge Toppa Gurren-Lagann and Angel Beats.

The Rose of Versailles when Andre dies and what it does to his wife Oscar fits the song perfectly.TifaLockhartVII wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzkqH8Q1 ... ideo_title

Nothing that specific really comes to mind but I'll let you know of the two that did pop into my head. Whether or not they'll work is up to you.
1) Grave of the Fireflies. It's been a good while since I've seen it and I don't really remember there being too many happy flashbacks or scenes in general but I'm sure they are in there somewhere. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095327/)
2) The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. This one popped into my head more so due to the emotional feeling of the song you posted. There is no death involved but simply the disappearing of one of the characters or more so the returning to his own time kind of thing. Hard to explain I guess. But I do feel it fits, just not so sure it will fit with the emotions you are wanting to convey. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808506/)
Best of luck with finding something that will work for you.

Well, the only family orientated anime I can recommend is Summer Wars...though it's the grandmother who dies, but it has alot of mourning family scenes.
And I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you Kazemon, you're the only one on this thread who at least found it appropriate to say this.Kazemon15 wrote:Well, the only family orientated anime I can recommend is Summer Wars...though it's the grandmother who dies, but it has alot of mourning family scenes.

Nevertheless, thank you for the suggestions guys.

Hmm, I never finished watching clannad but I believe this would include lots of flashbacks, considering the mans wife/girlfirend died while giving birth. Look up season 2, and season 1 you could turn any moment into a flashback, however they would be about a girl.

A combination of Gantz, FMA, (brotherhood and/or the original), and Blue Gender might have what your looking for. God knows they all have their shares of loss and emotional loss.
Also, look into Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny. Plenty of loss there.
Also, I know what it's like to recently lose a loved one. My heart goes out to you. *hug*
