So I've been using Vegas for quite some time, and I wanted to broaden my editing capabilities so I decided to try switching to Premiere and After Effects. Right now I'm trying to figure out everything I did in Vegas and do it in PP and AE.
Separate from that, one problem I have encountered is when moving project files from PP to AE is that the video sizes change so there is a major crop out:

That is how it should look

This is the cropping that happens when I switch applications.
I know that when I double click on a scene in the timeline that it opens up a new layer tab where I see the uncropped footage:

That may be irrelevant.
But the issue still stands, is there a way to fix it so that they are the same? I've tried resizing but the canvas size doesn't seem to match up either way:

If it helps, when I opened my Premiere files at first, I dropped in an anime that was 1080x720, so any other that was 720x480 was smaller in the canvas box so I had to resize so that it fits up well

maybe that has something to do with it when switching to AE? I don't know, but the cropping happens with all scenes regardless anyway.
If anyone knows thanks for the help! And sorry for all the images I just want to show visuals so my explanation is good.
