I've been wanting to do something with the R.E.M. song New Orleans Instrumental No. 1 for a while, but I still haven't though of a decent concept to work around.
I have Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Castle of Cagliostro(Lupin III) on DVD. (and I've been thinking about buy Trigun for a few months) so if you have any ideas for those anime I'd love to hear them. hey, if you have ideas with other animes I'd like to hear those too (esp. if you don't mind lending them to me)

I have a concept for you.It may be too laidback for you to use though.A instrumental is a really hard song to work with to begin with and i applaude your efforts. For the concept to work you need slow scenes with good visuals like sweeping battles in space to still landscapes. I have not heard the song as yet "though i have been trying to for a while" so i am just giving an opinion you might be able to use.I think it will work because most R.E.M songs are not really fast songs.
