David Violence - This guy is the real deal!

Post by Garylisk » Mon Jun 09, 2003 5:30 am

I was introduced to David Violence and Code:WHITE productions tonight by my friend Jacob. All I have to say is WOW! I haven't been this hooked on a single AMV editor's work like this since I got ahold of all of Kevin Caldwell's stuff. Anyone else seen these incredible vids by this guy?

If you haven't.... Just go download them. Now. NOW! I highly reccomend his "Jega Or Die" video. :) (Of course, all of them are pretty tasty...)

I'v seen the one with Read or Die an the other with Haibane Renmei...

I like what that guy does, yet I think that he should play more with the songs. The songs he uses are full of effects, and his videos use these effects some times, but on other scenes of his videos, it's like nothing was done...

He should do something more "abstract", something between his current work and what the Dinosaurs group do...

well, this is just my opinion, and I must say that I like what he does, it's really original AND re-viewable

I met Dave @ Anime Express this year and yes indeed his is the king. Any man that can pull-off, not just make but totally pull-off, a video to Steven Hawking's dissertation on the universe is my hero. His styling is so unique and the song choices are superb. All in all one hell of an AMVer.
For anyone not yet enlightened I highly recommend any and all of his works.

How the hell can he make a video to Radioheads "Backdrifts" (which is spelt wrong in the video description) when the album was only released in the US today and the CD is impossible to rip? Sounds like one of those ugly unmastered mp3's that came on the net ... shame on him! I'll check it out anyway since eventhough he's doing real piracy, he might be a good editor.

Nothing is impossible to rip. If you can output the audio analog, you can input it to a computer that will record it to a wave, then convert the wave to mp3.
